The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
