No, by the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
