Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 (They shall persist in their deeds) until when death comes to anyone of them he will say: "My Lord, send me back to the world 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another. 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy – they are the successful. 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 "Are you not those to whom My revelations were recited, and you dubbed them as lies?" 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 "Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' ” 109 But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, so that they, and they alone, are triumphant." 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say: "You stayed there only a moment, if you knew. 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
