The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WOE UNTO THOSE who give short measure: 1 Who, when they take the measure (of their dues) from men take it fully, 2 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 3 Do such people not realize that they will be raised up, 4 on a great day 5 The day on which men shall stand before the Lord of the worlds? 6 Nay, but the record of the vile is in Sijjin - 7 and what could make you understand what the Sijjin is? -- 8 (It is) a marked Book. 9 Woe on that Day unto the beliers 10 Those who belie the Day of Requital. 11 No one rejects it except the sinful transgressors 12 When our signs are recited to him, he says, 'Fairy-tales of the ancients!' 13 Not at all - but rather their earnings have heaped rust upon their hearts. 14 Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled. 15 then they shall roast in Hell. 16 whereafter they will be told: “This is what you used to give the lie to.” 17 However, the records of the deeds of the virtuous ones will certainly be in Illiyin. 18 Would that you knew what Illiyin is! 19 A book inscribed, 20 Attested by those who are brought near (unto their Lord). 21 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 22 On adorned couches, observing. 23 You will recognize in their faces the brightness of bliss. 24 They will be given to drink of pure wine, sealed. 25 The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations: 26 And the admixture of it is a water of Tasnim, 27 a spring, the nearest ones to God will drink from it. 28 Verily those who have sinned were wont at those who had believed to laugh, 29 And when they passed by them, they winked at one another. 30 And whilst returning to their homes, they used to return rejoicing. 31 And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray. 32 And they were not sent to be keepers over them. 33 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers, 34 On high thrones, watching. 35 Will not the disbelievers then be duly recompensed for their laughing at the believers? 36
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
