Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
