Do you not see that We have set the devils against the infidels to rouse and instigate them? 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 On the day when We shall gather the righteous unto the Beneficent, a goodly company. 85 and We shall drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell. 86 None will have power to intercede for them except one who obtains a promise from Ar-Rahman. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous! 89 Whereby the heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder, and the mountains fall in ruins, 90 That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah). 91 And it behoveth not the Compassionate that he should take a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave. 93 Verily, He knows each one of them, and has counted them a full counting. 94 And each one of them will come before Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 Surely Ar-Rahman will show love for those who believe and do the right. 96 So We have made it easy in thine tongue in order that thou mayest thereby give glad tidings unto the Godfearing and warn thereby a people contentious. 97 And how many have We destroyed before them of generations? Do you perceive of them anyone or hear from them a sound? 98
