The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 They sat by it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
