The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 And spreading shade, 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 and raised couches 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 For those on the right. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
