And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 Or at night.
