Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The true event! 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 Thamood and Ad cried lies to the Clatterer. 4 Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment. 5 and the 'Ad were destroyed by a furious wind 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 Can you see any of their survivors? 8 Similarly, Pharaoh, and those before him, and the ruined villages, sinned 9 They disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord and He seized them with torment which increased with time. 10 Lo, when the waters rose, We bore you in the running ship 11 That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it. 12 Hence, [bethink yourselves of the Last Hour,] when the trumpet [of judgment] shall be sounded with a single blast, 13 And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with a single crushing. 14 On that Day will come what is to come. 15 And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm. 16 And the angels will be on its sides; and on that day, eight angels will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed. 18 Now as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, he will exclaim: "Come you all!" Read this my record! 19 Behold, I did know that [one day] I would have to face my account! 20 Then he will be in blissful state 21 in a lofty garden, 22 The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near. 23 Such people will be told, "Eat and drink with pleasure as the reward for what you did in the past". 24 But, he who is given his book in his left hand will say: 'Woe to me, would that my book had not been given to me! 25 “And had never come to know my account!” 26 Would that death had taken us away for good. 27 “My wealth did not in the least benefit me.” 28 My authority is gone away from me. 29 The angels will be told, "Seize and chain them, 30 Then cast him to be burnt in Hell; 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 "This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High. 33 nor were they concerned with feeding the destitute. 34 Today he shall have no loyal friend here, 35 Nor any food save filth 36 which no one will eat except the sinners. 37
