The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
