Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 until you come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
