Thamood cried lies to the Envoys 141 Their brother Salih said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 142 Truly, I am a trustworthy messenger for you, 143 Have fear of God and obey me. 144 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 145 Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death], 146 In these gardens and these springs, 147 And corn-fields and palm-trees whereof the spathes are fine? 148 Though ye hew out dwellings in the mountain, being skilful? 149 Fear Allah and obey me 150 And obey not the command of the prodigal, 151 “Those who spread turmoil in the earth, and do no reform.” 152 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 153 you are no different from a mortal like us. So produce a sign if you are truthful." 154 He said: This is a she-camel; she shall have her portion of water, and you have your portion of water on an appointed time; 155 Do not cause her to suffer lest you become subject to the torment of the great day (of Judgment)." 156 But they ham-strung her: then did they become full of regrets. 157 So the punishment overtook them. Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 158 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 159

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
