The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
