And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left, 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid' 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His companion will say: O our Lord! caused him not to transgress but he was himself in error far off. 27 "Do not argue in My presence. I had announced the promise of doom in advance. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
