Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
