The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ BLESSED IS HE who revealed the Criterion (of right and wrong) to His votary that it may be a warning for the world, -- 1 to whom the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs, who has not taken a son, nor does He have an associate in the Kingdom, and He created everything, then He ordained it very precisely. 2 And they have taken beside Him gods creating not aught and are themselves created, owning for themselves neither hurt nor benefit, and owning not death nor life nor resurrection. 3 Those who have rejected the Message of the Prophet, say, "This (Al-Furgan) is a forgery which this man himself has devised, and some others have helped him at it. " What a cruel injustice and an impudent lie! 4 And they say: "These are fables of antiquity he has invented, which are dictated to him morning and evening." 5 Say: 'It was sent down by Him who knows the secrets of heavens and earth. He is Forgiving, the Most Merciful. 6 They say, "What sort of a Messenger is he that he eats food and moves about in the streets? Why has not an angel been sent down to accompany him and threaten (the disbelievers)? 7 Or a treasure should have been sent down to him, or he should have had a garden from which to eat." The wrongdoers say, "You are surely following a man who is bewitched." 8 See how they coin similitudes for you, so they have gone astray, and they cannot find a (Right) Path. 9
