Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom. 2 As guidance and mercy for the doers of good 3 Who are constant in devotion, pay the zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 These are on (true) guidance from their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper. 5 And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. 6 Whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a person, he turns away in his arrogance, as though he had not heard them -- as though his ears were sealed: give him, then, the tidings of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens of serenity. 8 They will abide in them for ever. The promise of God is true; and He is all-mighty and all-wise. 9 He created the skies without a support, as you can see, and placed stabilisers in the earth that you may dwell at ease as it revolves; and dispersed on it all varieties of creatures, and He sent down water from the skies and grew all kinds of splendid things upon it. 10 this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error. 11
