We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night.
