The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
