The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
God the Almighty always says the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
