The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Created man from an embryo; 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
