Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
