Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are verses of the wise Book. 2 A guide and a mercy for the Muhsinun (good-doers) 3 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and accept faith in the Hereafter. 4 They follow the guidance of their Lord and they will have everlasting happiness. 5 And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. 6 When Our verses are recited before them they turn away haughtily as though they did not hear them, as if a deafness had come into their ears. So give them tidings of a shameful punishment. 7 (As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have gardens of bliss, 8 To dwell therein. The promise of Allah is true: and He is Exalted in Power, Wise. 9 He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 This is Allah's creation, but show Me what those besides Him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error 11
