Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They say, 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
