Therefore continue to give warning, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Is it their minds that bid them [to take] this [attitude] - or are they [simply] people filled with overweening arrogance? 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 (If they are truthful in this), then let them produce a discourse of similar splendour. 34 Have they not been created by aught, or are they the creators? 35 Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. 36 Or are thy Lord's treasuries in their keeping? Or are they the registrars? 37 Or have they a ladder by which they could [ascend to ultimate truths and] listen [to what is beyond the reach of human perception]? Let, then, any of them who have listened [to it] produce a manifest proof [of his knowledge]! 38 Does God have daughters while you have sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down? 41 Or do they want to stage a deception? -- Then only those who do not believe will be the ones who will be tricked. 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 Even if they saw lumps falling from the sky they would say: 'A massed cloud' 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 The unjust will suffer other torments besides this but most of them do not know. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
