The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And the night when it departs, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
