The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
