Allah is He Who made the cattle for you that you may ride on some of them, and some of them you eat. 79 In them there are also other benefits for you, and through them you fulfil your heartfelt need (to reach places), and you are borne along upon them as upon the ships. 80 And [thus] He displays His wonders before you: which, then, of God's wonders can you still deny? 81 Have they not travelled in the earth so that they may behold what wise hath been the end of those before them. They were more numerous than these, and mightier in strength and the traces in the land. But naught availed them of that which they had been earning. 82 They were far too content with their own knowledge (to pay attention to the Messengers) when Our Messengers came to them with illustrious evidence. They were encompassed by the torment for mocking Our guidance. 83 They said, "We believe in One God and disbelieve in whatever we had considered equal to Him," when they experienced Our wrath. 84 But their faith could not avail them when they saw Our doom. This is Allah's law which hath ever taken course for His bondmen. And then the disbelievers will be ruined. 85
