Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
