Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
