Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 concerning the sinners, 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
