The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 it is not a jest. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
