Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
