Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
