The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 Hence, remain conscious of God, and pay heed unto me!" 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 If only you would realize, their account is with my Lord. 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned." 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace 122
