The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 Fear He who created you, and the generations of the ancient' 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
