۞ Gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping, 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 For them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 [as free of faults] as if they were hidden [ostrich] eggs. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 Before them erred most of the ancients, 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
