۞ No! I swear by the positions of the stars 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 and that hour you are watching 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
