The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed; 2 And when the earth is stretched forth, 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] - 5 O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did). 6 Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, 7 Soon an easy account will be taken from him. 8 and they will return to their people, delighted 9 But he who is given his ledger from behind his back 10 He will invoke (his) destruction, 11 But will be roasted in the fire. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 for he never thought that he would have to return [to God]. 14 Yea! his Lord had ever been beholding him. 15 I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 and the night, and what it [step by step] unfolds, 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 You shall certainly travel from stage to stage (in this life and in the Hereafter). 19 What is the matter with them, that they believe not? 20 And when the Quran is recited to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Instead, the unbelievers reject it, calling it a lie. 22 And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves. 23 So give them news of painful punishment, 24 Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. 25
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
