AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer. 48 And of everything We have created pairs, that you may remember (the Grace of Allah). 49 Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 [But] thus it is: never yet came any apostle to those who lived before their time but they said, "A spellbinder, ["sorcerer" is he,] or a madman!" 52 Have they bequeathed it unto each other! Nay! they are a people contumacious. 53 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, 54 And remind; the Reminder profits the believers. 55 I created the jinn and humans for nothing else but that they may serve Me; 56 I seek not any provision from them, nor I desire that they should feed Me. 57 Surely Allah is the Bestower of sustenance, the Lord of Power, the Strong. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60
