The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 By the Promised Day! 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
