The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
