Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
