And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Quran Verse 35:45). 30 And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth. And you have not besides Allah any protector or helper. 31 Among His signs are the ships sailing like mountains on the sea: 32 If He so wills, He can cause the winds to become still so that they will remain motionless on its surface. Surely there are many Signs in this for those who are wont to be steadfast and give thanks. 33 Or He can cause them to perish because of the (evil) which (the men) have earned; but much doth He forgive. 34 And (that) those who dispute about Our communications may know; there is no place of refuge for them. 35 Whatever you have received is just a means of enjoyment for this life but the reward of God for the believers and those who trust in their Lord will be better and everlasting. 36 And those who shun the great sins and indecencies, and whenever they are angry they forgive. 37 And those who respond to their Lord and keep up prayer, and their rule is to take counsel among themselves, and who spend out of what We have given them. 38 who, when a wrong is done to them, seek its redress. 39 But [remember that an attempt at] requiting evil may, too, become an evil: hence, whoever pardons [his foe] and makes peace, his reward rests with God - for, verily, He does not love evildoers. 40 Those who successfully defend themselves after being wronged will not be questioned. 41 The way (to blame) is only against those who oppress men and revolt in the earth unjustly; these shall have a painful punishment. 42 But he who bears with patience and forgives, surely complies with divine resolve. 43
