Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
