No! By the moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 A warning to mortals, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
