Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
