The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And no trifle. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
