We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
